and so it begins

jack's first day of school was last week. as nice as it is to let him have his own piece o the world it was a little sad. its so strange to think that he'll be influenced by poeple other than me and my husband. hes already turned into a total tattle tale. the ever present "Moooooommmmm..." is driving me a bit batty. theres a bit of sass in his tone these days when hes in trouble. this photo was taken on his way to "time out"...

for what it's worth...

im starting a blog. let me get this out and then i wont mention it again, this is so uncomfortable. i have it on good authority that its time i do this and im thankful for friends and family who constantly tell me, "it is time". ive never really liked talking about myself but i LOVE to talk about my family. so my 1st ever blog entry is dedicated to them. they are the reason i ever bought a camera, ever wanted to learn more and continue to ever pick up that beautiful piece of Nikon craftsmanship. when it comes to husbands, my husband is "it". a true partner. he never fails to tell me how far ive grown but ever so softly, how much further i can go.

jan 1, 2010 i thought itd be such a great idea to start a 365 project. it came and went way too fast. Tara, a friend and fellow photographer started a new idea: to shoot her family for herself once a month for a year. i ate it up, it was a must. so here is our April. complete with Jack in his new Star Wars t-shirt.
